Negative equity is a problem. You simply can't have your cake and eat it too. I imagne that you have a rather hefty interest rate on your loan. A double whammy to be sure. Older models will drop value as soon as the new 06 comes out so don't be fooled into thinking your situation will improve in the near furture. If the housing market in your area is hot right now it might be best to bite the bullet and dump the car before you are priced out the housing market. You take out a short term unsecured (signiture) loan so you can sell your car. Taht done, you can use funds you were appliing to the car and insurance payments to amortize the new loan as rapidly as possible. Good luck...

My interest rate is actually 4.99 which is pretty good. Its an 84 month term.

listen to what old dude is saying if you sell the car, go pay it off then you wont have to pay no interest because if you try to trade you will be bent over lol.

How would I total my own car. That would be so hard and I wouldnt want to do that to the evo. I do have gap but that would be against the law to total my own car.
