Dyno in my area

This is the dyno near my town and it still an hour and a half away,
http://www.ktrmotorsports.com/

so I called them and they said tunning is $200/hr

should I even bother getting it tuned right now all I have is cat back exhaust, Greddy E-manage (not to happy with)
and a boost controller on the way..

I mean $200/hr is alot of money, what should I expect for gains.
as you can see I am very new to this. Is there a list of mods I should do befor I get my car tuned

Any input would be great.
Thanks Guys

My overall opinions:

1) Ditch the e-manage and get a flash
2) Don't need dyno tuning then
3) You will gain 40-50whp over stock with cat-back/mbc/flash

A few answer to above questions:

1) $200/hr doesn't seem like a lot if they are doing all of the tuning for you
2) If you have a greddy e-manage and have to ask what mods you need before tuning, then I dunno what to say. The point of the greddy e-manage is to have it tuned at all times. You don't need a dyno to tune...

Not sure how you ended up with a greddy e-manage with only one mod and being new to Evo tuning, but if you really knew what you're doing, I'd have recommended an S-AFC so that you can tune on your own as you get more parts. Since it seems you could use a little help, I'd suggest a flash designed for cat-back+mbc, because then your car will be faster, more reliable, and very safe.

You might want to check out this guy for tuning.
http://www.ffteng.com

As of dyno, ESP http://www.enhancedstreetperformance.com/ is installing a mustang AWD dyno. Should be operation by end of June.

If you still looking for dyno, Yarrowsport http://www.yarrowsport.com/ @ RI has a awd dyno. But they specialized VW & Audi.

I don't like the Greddy E-manage because I know I'm not a tunner, and I realy don't want to do a trial and error on my brand new evo.
And sence the E-manage isn't realy supported for evo's it makes finding info and maps difficult.
It's going on e-bay along with the support tool

Where do I get a custom flash,
what is a good mbc for 05 evo,
and I was thinking about getting rid of the stock air box, and
getting a cone air intake filter. but I heard you lose hp

I agree. In fact, most dynos charge well over $100 just to run 3 times (about 45 minutes), plus $30+ more for air/fuel reading (not even tuning, just reading) unless it's like a club sponsored dyno-day.

In other words, it would be probably at least $150 just to put your car on a dyno!

Check out www.dynoflash.com I just had my Evo flashed and road tuned for only $399. The only mods I have are turboback exhaust and a K&N typhon intake. It runs a lot smoother and more powerful, you could also mail your ecu in for a flash for $199.

Hey SterlingEvo, how are you enjoying your flash. (Did ARYEvo beat you yet?)

I went with Vishnu out here in Cali. You can mail your ecu to him, too, and he'll overnight it back. Just list your mods and they flash it. The Xflash is $399. visit his site at www.vishnutuning.com.
You might want to wait to mod your car more though, or at least make sure you're not going to mod your car anymore so that the flash is tuned to your add-ons. I would get a DP and a high-flow cat first and a 255 fuel pump. Vishnu also recommended to me not to get rid of the stock air box. Just get a K&N drop in filter! The K & N typhoon sucks. The hot air from the engine going back into the intake kills your hp.
