I have 10,000 miles on my stock clutch with cams, etc. As long as you don't launch it, you'll be okay.

This thread is really tempting me to get cams.

I have a tbe and tune and I love the way 1st and 2nd gear pull now, but 3rd and 4th gear needs some help IMO. Do the cams really wake up the higher gears?

Good thread, I would also like to hear more feedback from those with cams and stock clutch.

yea i know 95gsx i feel the same way 3-4 gear needs a little work. i sat in a cammed car and OMG it haulls in every gear like ours feel in 1-2. that is why i want to get cams so bad but i really dont want to spend the money for clutch for aleast 8-10k. ppl who have cams pls post how many miles you have on your stock clutch after cams.

Thumbs up

i say get the cams. they will benefit you most on the topend anyway so your clutch should be fine. you will notice a significant power gain in your 3rd & 4th gears especially after you get Al custom tune.

Stock clutch here...only with 7200 with cams...maybe too soon to tell but one bad launch will kill your clutch

346whp with cams at 5200 miles. I am at 14k now and my clutch is holding perfectly. It slips on a launch but hold everywhere. Just take it easy on the launches and youll be ok! Cams will do wonders for 3-4th gears
