I believe the video and dyno graph of the silver car is this particular car in the ebay ad.

http://www.dyno4mance.com/tuning/you...mitsubishi.php

428whp on a DD is almost 500whp on a Dynojet.

Robert getting some money. You need to send me 15% since I provided a video.

Yes this is the same car. I talked to Andrew from Dyno4mance about it a few days ago. I believe the story goes like this. A few weeks before the Dyno day last October two Doctors from I believe Louisiana came up to Dyno4mance to have the Stage III kits installed. One was a Silver EVO (This one), and other was a black EVO. This car was also seen at a drag strip, not even running race gas till someone had to show the Doctor the map selector switch on the XEDE. The Doctor was completely unaware that his car had the ability to run race gas. Anyway, fast forward to a month or so ago, I cant remember all the details, but the Doctor sells the car and a car auto broker gets it. Now the auto broker is trying to sell the car, so you cant blame him if even he does not know what all is in the car if even the original owner did not. The Ebay post actually needs to be updated as it has Ohlins Suspension.

The 600hp claim is made at the crank and not at the wheels, but I believe that it is somewhere closer to 550hp.

If I get any money, you'll definately get 15%, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm sure he put down a bunch more power than the "experts" thought possible. IIRC, that's more than double what a stock EVO puts down on Andrew's dyno. Not to bad.

Just checked, stock EVOs but down about 185 hp, so 428 is pretty close to 600 crank.

Also, MO EVO8 needs to at least change the thread title.

All the know-it-alls seem to have disappeared. Figured none of the experts would be willing to taste the crow.

This is completely true I have talk to andrew about this car and he says it is in great shape. Andrew is one of the best evo tuners in the world (my opinion) he would not steer me wrong.

I am going to pick the car up on tuesday.

This is the mods the car has now

vishnu stage 3 w/ garrett 3037s turbo
vishnu turbo manifold
arp head studs
samco intercooler hoses
HKS camshafts 272i & 272e
cam gears (I believe their vishnu)
680cc/min Fuel Injectors
Signature Series 3” Cat-Back Exhaust
Signature Series 3-inch Down-Pipe with Test-Pipe
Upgraded Fuel Pump (walbro)
stock intercooler
XEDE Engine Control Computer
exedy clutch (I believe twin disc)

The car no longer has the Tein flex 10 way adjustable struts and coil overs.
It has been replaced by the ohlins full coilover system

The things i'm going to change on the car is =
evodave taillight mod
jet coat or ceramic coat the turbo manifold
stock hood
and fine tuning at dyno4mance.

Good luck with the car. Get it to the track and let us know what it runs.

Hi Guys
Just caught up with this thread...
Yes, we did all the mods on the car.
The car was tuned by Shiv not me.
on pump gas it made 354 whp @ 25psi and 428 whp on race @ 30psi.
The intercooler looks stock ....but if I recall it is not.
IMO the stock airbox is a great design...we have built 3 stage 3 cars and all run the stock intake

To settle the hp claim argument....the guy selling this is a broker that really dosn't know much about the car...he was the guy that did not know the car had two maps in the Xede and was running it on pump at the track....he took the 600hp claim directly off Vishnus web site that does claim a stage 3 makes 600hp.....this is true if the stage 3 runs a GT35R

As mentioned previously this car has a GT3037S on it so peak power figures would be lower
My Dyno at Dyno4mance has a function on it that can give an approximate flywheel hp figure....when this car was run in this mode it made 530 hp....based on the amount of stock vehicles I dyno in this mode I would say it is an accurate approximation of flywheel horsepower..
Hope this helps clear things up

That is only specific to a Dyno. Dynojets' read around 230. I dont't believe the 428whp on a DD is almost 500whp on a Dynojet. comment. I am sure their is a difference but I don't see it being that large. I mean the trap is the truth, maybe some runs would be cool. I doubt it if he is trying to sell it.

Depending on what model Dynojet you use this EVO could put down between ~480whp and ~500whp. (12% - 17% difference between a DynoDynamics and a Dynojet)

I also remember a thread where on kid ran on a DD dyno and then went to a Dyno Jet a week later and estimated a BIG gain in showing. He showed a consatnt 12PSI gain. Everyon said that there was something wrong with his car, did not mention the Dyno.

IDK, when people talk abouty dyno's, too many do so in terms of Absolute. Like ...

"OH, YOU MADE 185 whp, THATS great MAN CUZ ON A dYNO jET YOU'D MAKE 400"

Nobody knows, run the car, the trap tells it all.

Well, I make 307 on a dynodynamics and 346 on a dynojet. A 12.7% difference. The same day I was dyno'd, EVO's with similar mods on the dynojet and the dynodynamics exhibited similar differences. Like I said, a lot depends on what model dynojet you are on, what the settings are set to and whether they are using SAE or STD corrections.
