EVO On Ebay clamming 600whp....lol

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...551595769&rd=1

There is no way in hell that thing is going to dyno 600hp with that set up. It makes me ill to think so poor individual is going to get this car and think it has 600hp. My 2 cents.....

It is still misleading.....then I mine I could have put 800hp.

IT doesn't say 600whp, it says 600hp. IF I were selling it, I'd put the estimated crank hp, also, just like every car dealership does. If you use 25% drivetrain loss, that 600hp translates to 450whp, which I think is reasonable for that setup. He also said that was on race gas...

Might want to edit some more, since you say there's no way in hell it dynos 600hp, as if that's any different from whp. If you dyno a figure, that's automatically whp.

If you put down 600whp, then yeah, you could claim 800hp on Ebay. It's not misleading unless every car manufacturer in the world is misleading, in which case, he's no worse than all of them.

I see nothing wrong with the description. You assumed wheel horsepower. He never stated it. Everything he claims seems plausible to me.

He could have done an engine dyno.

All I know is he definitely needs to have that header JetHot or ceramic coated.

The guy says he's in Atlanta, so I wonder if Dyno4mance did the work on the car.

edit: I have seen 450whp (dynodynamics) on stock intercooler. BUT, at this point, I would bet there is HP to be found in replacing it with a better flowing core.

People who post on car forums or drag race are the only people on earth who think of Horsepower in terms what a car puts down at the wheels. And for us AWD people it's an even deeper subculture. In other words his "ad" is catering to the lowest common denominator: the general public

It's like telling your neighbors your 1/4 mile time... that doesn't mean crap to most people. They think in terms of 0-60 times. It's a lot more impressive to them that the car does 60 in under 4 seconds than that you run an 11.9 1/4...
