thin film on front of car...

well, bought the car from a friend in Colorado and it came with a thin ( i mean real thin, like tape) film on the front part of the car, like from the vent at the top of the hood down. he said it came on all of his cars. i was wodnering how i take it off, i start picking at on corner and it kinda comes off but i dont want to ruin it somehow and have to repaint it. i called the dealership and they said they cant do it because they havent had anything like it before.

probably a clear bra, and I would leave it on. I had to pay to have one installed on my car.

that's probably something like 3M clearbra- I'd leave it on and save my paint.

If you're hellbent on taking it off though, heat (hair dryer) usually gets vinyl off and then you clean the residue.

i had one on mine too and didnt like it at all. I just waited for a warm day and let it sit in the sun then just peeled it off slwoly. When i was finished i just washed the car and threw ona coat of wax and you could never tell it was there.
