Problem with Greddy Bov
if you take your BOV apart and line on the little hole in the valve part with the valve housing where that extra little nub sticks out (that you don't use)......that should help make it a little louder, but just remember its not going to be that loud unless you are venting to atmosphere......if you have an Intake it will be a little louder. The Type-S can make 2 noises...the whistling noise (more common when you let off the gas slower, Then if you have an intake it can make a psshhhh sound when you shift a little quicker.
I just ordered a greddy "type rs" with recirculation adapter does anyone know if i have to do the single spring mod just like the "type s BOV"? could i still keep both springs in or is it not recomended for our engines? whats the drawbacks.. thanks oh ya does it sound better then stock BOV i mean louder even though its recirculated?
Ahhhh...damn it, thought I'll have a sweet sound like others. The problem is I'll have idle/stalling problem if I go for both springs but some others don't have any problems when using both springs.
you can have idle problems if you have an intake regardless of the bov you are using. If its bad enough i believe there is some sort emulator thing that will help smooth out the idle since our MAF sensors don't seem to like intakes too much.
if you want an awsome sound without the stalling problems get a TurboSmart Duel port, it recircs and vta so u get a awsome sound and don't lose any power

I agree, have similar set up and have no idle issues and sounds nice but not too loud. Who cares what is sounds like as long as it is working

not deafening like it would be if you run open air box or have an intake but its loud
but you definitely want to do the single spring mod

In my opinion, changing out the springs in the type-s has nothing to do with the overall volume of the BOV. I installed my type-s first with both springs in... makes the same noise as it does now with just the single bigger spring. The only difference is with the two springs, there was a lot of flutter... with the single spring, almost all the flutter is done.
You can goto the dollar store and purchase a typical coach's whistle for real cheap... and zip-tie it onto the openning of your type-s and then put the re-circ hose on it. You'll get a pretty loud whistle and it shouldn't stall too much.

Get an intake filter. Take out the stock airbox and replace with an intake filter. If you were looking for the sound, you didn't even need to buy the bov. The stock bov makes a loud sound with an intake.
btw, i have greddy type-s (single mod) with intake filter. Sounds great.

What I do to make the noise a little louder than now?
it will hurt your car performance if not recirculating.single spring is to soft sometime i get the flutter.it's better with both spring on.sounds about the same.
