Vette, no doubt. I have seen these new c6 vettes make 365-375whp on a dyno jet, bone stock. LSI edit and exhaust and they have made 400-410 to the ground. The torque difference between the evo and c6 is what seperates the vette form the evo in a 3rd gear roll punch. AWD will help from a dead stop, but after that if you did not get a 1.65 or better 60 foot the vette should pull in every gear(by a little.)

yea dont get me wrong but my evo has 350whp and the tq is right there too. I punch it in 3rd and it does fling you back but the suspension and awd give it a slow feel. Its funny becuase I know my car is fast even with a full load of peeps in the car but it always feels slow.. If I didnt watch the speedo I would be a sad, sad man.. lol. I guess my point is the evo IS FAST but it feels slow..

Now Chris's AMS built evo im sure feels like a monster heh.

So to answer your question a big v8 or better always just feels better when you punch them bro. I ride in my buds ws6 alot and its a monster you punch it, hear the big v8 roar and feel the back end bite, now thats what I call snapping your neck back. Now take, with a grian of salt, his is modded. tehehe.

If I were to get American muscle then the vette would be it. There sweet, sweet cars.

I would say the Vette from a 3rd gear pull. Instant V8 torque and hp versus building up boost. If it was from a dead stop I'd say the EVO with it's AWD launch capabilities. Either way it would be a fun ride.

AWD tends to numb the sensation of speed when you are going from a roll. I remember the same feeling with my '97 Eclipse GSX. It would feel slow but then I would look and see I was passing other cars so it is a bit weird. I think because you get both the push and pull with AWD cars versus a big push from the back on a RWD car is why it doesn't feel as fast. Either way it is a fast car.

Vette, no question because of the torque. I traded an '02 Lightning that I had modified in on my MR. On the dynojet it did 427/518. Torque rules in a roll on like that.

pretty close, more like 350 for 02+ (340-360), and around 340 for 01.
