What exactly is a Dynoflash?

All I ever see on this forum is about 20-so threads about flashing and whatnot. Can anyone hook me up with what the hell that i? Im pretty sure is has to do with the ECU but I want to really know what it is and what it does to your car. Thanks in advance.

A reflash is a change in the parameters of your ECU to affect fuel, ignition timing and boost so that you will quickly fall down the slippery slope of mods that will succeed in making your car significantly faster by severe weight reduction of your wallet.

you are right that it has to do with the ECU. basically, Dynoflash, Works, Vishnu, etc will modify the various engine management maps stored in the ECU in order to get more power out of the car. this can be done because the manufacturers tend to use conservative settings for timing, A/F ratios, etc since they are more concerned with keeping a good margin of safety in the tune than they are with peak horsepower. the word "flashing" has to do with overwriting the factory ECU settings with those of the tuner.

hope that helps....

It means that his EVO is > than his previous AUDI. The O's are suppose to represent AUDI rings as in its Logo.
