Anyone else same situation as me?!?

Hi guys i'm new to evolutionm but i have always checked it out here and there and finally joined up..i own a 03 Tarmac Black Evo 8 which i bought in march of 04 i've recently been having alot of problem with my non-modded stock evo. It has been expirencing a loud knocking noise anytime my RPM's hit 3500 in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear, and the steering wheel shakes at the same time and the check engine light is constinatly on...It kinda sounds like i'm running Vtec or somthing like that...i've been to my dealer and it has been in for service now after today will be 5 times, in which my service manager has repeadily told me that the problem will go away and when i ask him about what error codes caused it, he says no biggie's i cleared your check engine light and your all-set...i've called mitsu customer service and they just told me to deal with the dealership and theres nothing they can do...so i've finally lost my patience with mitsu and i am calling a lemon law lawyer tomorrow and getting this squared away...anyone else have these problem's with their evo and any words of advice?!?!?

Thanks!

try a different dealer too. Not all dealers are the same.

Didn't your service rep give you a copy of your repair report? Stop letting him control the situation and take charge. Ask for a repair report for the last 5 times you have been to the dealership. Ask what was repaired. Tell him that "no biggies" doesn't tell you exactly what is going on with your vehicle.

Lemon law only applies to BRAND NEW vehicle in which the dealership has tried to repair the problem 3 times with no luck.

I have all of my service slips:

The error codes are:
0090: Fuel Pressure
0300: Random Misfire (Has been re-flashed twice)
0301: Cylinder Misfire
0325: Knock Sensor

Oh and i forgot to include some more interesting info, i started pokin around a lil and iook my intake piping off thinking it the Mass air sensor or something and there was quite a bit of oil inside my intake piping and oil leakin through the braiding on my lower left intercooler piping...which i would think would be a pvc issue..but i dont know...i'm clueless...anyone have this happen to them???!help!!

Take off your intercooler. If it's got oil in it, you may have a problemo.

they'll all get oil in the intercooler eventually (due to blowby gasses) but that still doesn;t explain why he's misfiring, i suggest you pull the plugs out and see what's going on

Any stock evo should have a lil oil in the intercooler from the valve cover breather line. If you could, try a different dealer, not all dealerships have evo techs. I know from experience, and my first Mitsu dealership F'ed up my tranny trying to fix my 5th gear grind. I went to a different dealership and they fixed me right up, even washed my car and all.

Hey bro that sounds like a lean condition misfire!! Yikes. I only say that because there was an FP code in there. Not good!

Have they taken a look at your injectors?

No no they run RICH from the factory. The oil is totally normal; it's a function of the emissions control device(s) placed on your vehicle. Crank case gasses contain oil and are transfered to the intake plumbing to burn again later. If you want to solve that problem just get a catch can.

I would see a different dealership asap, or get your lemon law suit lined up. Be aware that if they don't buy your car back from you immediately, it will be a very very long process. I've been in it for 8 months now.

Evo -- regarding the p0300 issue. I can't really go into more detail than that but suffice it to say they didn't want to buy the car back because I had a few mods.

- turboback exhaust
- intake
- diverter valve
- turbo timer
- grounding kit
