I just wanted to say hello to you all. I'm new to the evo forum. Im deplyed right now in Kosovo and researching the crap out of the evo. Im planning on getting an VIII when i get back in early 2006! Kosovo is a pretty safe place. We are just keeping the peace. This is nothing compared to our brothers and sisters in Iraq. The Kosovo people are crazy drivers though!! The old men are the craziest sometimes. big culture difference.

I was checkin out the IX's and they are nice, but i was thinkin of getting a used 04. im going to have a pretty nice piggy bank by the time i get home. I'm trying to set assisde a nice budget to make some improvements... plumbing, cams, coilovers, AEM EMS... any and all recomendations are welcome.

For the changes they are making to the IX it might just be worthwhile. Of course, the prices of the older ones should drop a bit when the IX's are out. So you could find a deal.

Any of you PA guys deal with SlowBoyRacing? That's close to you all I think. He's got Evo stuff/ upgrades. Just curious. And could probably hook you up if you need to pay for all that work.

 

not that i know of......there are 7 Evos in/around Reading......3 Silver, 1 Yellow , 1 GG MR, 2 BBY

 

SlowBoy Racing is close to Pitttsburg about 4.5 hours away from us....... there is a local shop i goto to get parts on that i don't want to install and they have a WHD Dyno......TurboTrix is about 2 hours from me too

 

You might just want to get an 05 and up car. They have a front limited slip (unlike the open diff which was prone to braking) and a little more horsepower. I understand your financial reasons, but the 04 is really not much different than the 03.

wow, i just checked out the IX. I AM SOLD! deffinetly getting one of those! the rear is fixed. looks a little nicer, better seats, and shocks. beautiful. heres a link for you guys to check out. im sure you guys know this already. there is a little video.
