Bit the bullet & got a Evo RS

I got tired of seeing my IS300 5 speed drop in value while the Evo held its. So... I traded it in for a RS. Can't wait for the break-in period to be over.

91 MR2 turbo
94 Supra 6 speed hardtop

Re-sale value is about the 4,217th most important reason to get an EVO over a Lexus.

Good choice, although I like the interior of the IS300 A LOT better than the Evo's

I wish I would have just traded in my IS300 when I bought the MR, but I've never done a trade-in, since I've always been able to sell it privately for more. For some reason, that didn't happen with my IS300, despite how nice it looked and how good the KBB value was. It took me 7-8months to sell it, and I got 3k less than KBB private party value, so that sucked.

It is way too under powered for what it is supposed to do, compete with bimmers.

Glad you got the Evo, but why would anyone worry about the resale value on a depreciating asset? When I bought my MR, I kissed the money good bye in my head. Now, depreciating values in real estate, that's another topic entirely.

re-sale value? what's that?

man, what a jump.

from plush auto everything, comfy everything, amazingly quiet IS300 to,

No power windows, harsh everything, amazingly loud (no sound dampners) Evo RS.

It's like a mid life crisis, almost. It's like getting rid of your Lexus to get into a Harley... almost.
