What is there like 2 weeks left now???? I expect so......I mean why would you release a car at the beginning of january and not get them in dealers for another 12 weeks....It makes no sense

 

Got a VIN, no insurance companies have heard of it.. back to waiting.

dealer was suppossed to send a Fed Ex package with my contract reflecting deposit and VIN # for my car..

Nothing in the mail today!!!

Oh no.....here we go again..

 

There was a production delay.

 

Im on the list at Max Madson Mitsu in Chicago, and supposedly the first cars arrive the 12th of March. They are on the boat as we speak......

 

So i'm guessing your ship date is on the 3-3-03 as well? My dealer is guessing during that week of the 3rd but hopefull we get our's a little earlier since we got our vin as quick as the west coast people.

Is everyone here getting insurance on the day it arrive at the dealer? How are the quotes looking so far for those who investigated

 

Got my VIN yesterday. Dealer said 3/3/03 due date. He looked on the tracker and it said it was "manifested/inbound" whatever that means. But this is also the guy that said 2/14//03 "for sure".

 

I wish I had my vin......maybe I should call the dealer and tell him I don't need the front tag installed and tell him what fluff I wnt for the car.....

 

My car hasn't even been built yet, all the ones it was supossed to be shipped with are already on the boat, mine gets built on friday 02/21/03. and it's arrival date is 03/21/03 So we will see what happens

 

I got my VIN this week too! The car is still slated to arrive at my dealership on 13-March...

The dealer also told me about 3 unclaimed Evos he will be getting in April....and will be selling for under MSRP!....if interested, and in the DC metro area, send me a pm or email....

I just went to my local dealer and he swears up and down that the car will be here in 2 more days.... Yeah, We'll see is what I told him....

 

He also states that they are getting 10 at this dealer and 20 at their sister dealer... Again, we'll see....

 

I have still havn't received my vin number, i am guessing because the cars are currently at dock and people are getting them as each car passes thru customs and is recorded. Secondly i recommend to make sure you cover every step with your dealer, because it happened to my last car where they would predrill holes right into the bumper, some dealers might not but overall my dealer was like ya we are post to do that, i was like don't i will deal with the tickets, she said you got it, plus i wanted to make sure no one would joy ride my car and she said they have a strict policy on that, if caught the person is immediatly fired. It was funny i was telling her about the situations where employees would joy ride and she said thatis finen with me but she asked if she can have someone drive it off the truck. that is the only movement it will get. March 8th is my current day it should arrive at dealership, she said she said its post to be heading towards dealership march 3, so she gave herself space, she rather it come in before she said than after... MmMmMmmmmmmmmmmmmm........

side note: personally i think the delay was taken on behalf of mitsubishi to produce more cars for the first few allocations so thier will be not extra but just more cars, to keep the dealers possibly from hijacking the price, plus everywhere i call and talkto even if they are jacking up the price or not, they seem to be getting more than what was expected.
