$10k/year insurance? That's as harsh as I've seen. I'd be working on that instead of my credit score!

Seriously... how many points are left on your license to have 10K insurance rates? I agree, I'd be working on getting those rates down.

I have my own practice and my insurance is very reasonable (in NY of all places), but I'm also a grownup.

You can pay less per year if you drive low mileage to work, but I don't think that is what he is referring to either.

I pay around 750 every six months for full coverage... i dont know who is bending you over for 10k a year but DAMN!!!!... lol... You need to drop that company. Although, my rate is for me being away at school for 9 months a year and my car in the garage at home. Never the less i had a quote of 2,100 every 6 months at 19 yrs old under my OWN insurance plan.... Find a private guy, they hook you up!!!

As for work, i am an IT assistant and have been for 3 years so far(internship). Enough to afford the Evo in 2 summers... so 6.5 months of work, 20k, not too bad...

I moved to another country just so I could buy an Evo II. Those are lot cheaper than the IX's

With any luck within the next month I'll be running IX speeds as well.
