cleaner for the front mount?

ive done a search and cant find anything. i live in the nw so my fmic is always being showered with road grim. I would like to know if anyone knows of a cleaner (spray on) that will shine up the fmic without damaging the paint on the bumper. someone along time ago told me i should go to a "big" truck washing place and they have a chemical spray that cleans the polished parts on the trucks. i dont know how true it is, and im to lazy to drive around and find one to see

you looking to shine it or just clean it?

you can use a can of coil cleaner that you can get at any place for Refrigeration/ HVAC. They have coil cleaners that are safe to use on aluminum. I don't know about getting it on the paint though. Be sure to read the labels.

try using a wheel cleaner like meguiars hot rims. it comes in a pink bottle and works wonders on wheels. i don't know about the paint thing though. but i think if you wash it off quick enough it shouldn't hurt it at all.
