yes it is recommended, mostly as safety feature...i wouldnt call it completely necessary but for $80-90 i would go ahead and do it. it would be worth it in the long run.

Yes get a fuel pump, I have most of the mods you do + cams and when Al was dyno tuning mine, my stock fuel pump was starting to overheat so i had to upgrade as a safty measure.

You have an S-AFC2 already...why do you want a mail-in-flash? Is it to get the base settings/features then fine-tune with the S-AFC2? Just getting a flash doesn't make a fuel pump necessary...you don't really need one until you do cams, but as burningmoney said, it's a very inexpensive mod (and easy install), so it's a good idea to do. Especially since you have an S-AFC already, you can tune out the richness caused by the increased fuel flow.

Nice set of mods you have there...simple, yet effective. I don't think you need the colder plugs until after cams either, but they probably don't hurt. I have a set of copper NGK BPR8ES plugs standing by in case I start blowing out the spark or if the stockers get fouled.

Really wish it was avoidable, absolutely hate my whinebro, but strangely enough I have more of an issue with it in the colder weather, near silent in the warm weather.

whine

I rarely notice any noise coming from the pump at all. I have only had it in a month or so and the weather has been hanging around triple digits
