people sell the car for 2 main reasons... they either cant afford the payments due to extenuating circumstances or they abuse the hell out of the car and then complain that mitsubishi wont repair their car for free.

To answer your question, it's easy. You just move on with you life, or it doesn't fit your life style as of now. Same with your R32, your just moving on with your life or it doesn't fit your life style right now.
Rolling the eyes at me thinking promo of my car is my goal?

Anyway, makes sense what most are saying referring to the financial bug getting the best of them. I've had 13 cars in the past 5yrs, not from accidents I just get bored so I understand moving on as well as anyone. I realize these aren't cheap to maintain but trust me owning a R32 and replacing parts is borderline M3 ownership when you see the 80.00 oil changes at the dealer

I'm into Evos, I have respect for Evos most of the time moreso than some idiot VW drivers I've come across lately and it's disappointing how they act towards one another. I enjoy the Evo people I've talked to, I enjoy driving my buddies evo when I get the chance I'll just miss the amenities, look n sound of the R the Evo can't compete with. To each their own, it's all in what your after, and I think the Evo might be the new thing I'll be after still thanks to the helpful comments. BadAssLilEvo anyone?

Ive considered selling my car about once a week, but then I just forget about it. Reason I do is because Ive been broke since the day I bought it, and I cant stop putting money into it( modding is very addictive). But as soon as I get into the drivers seat I laugh for even thinking about it.

Goin from say a 03' VIII into a 05' MR what are the main differences you've come to like the most. I thought about finding a MR if possible, esp the darker gunmetal color I love. Is it worth the extra money? Aluminum roof, vortex spoiler, BBS Forged wheels, improved overly priced bilsteins 550/pce or so I heard and exclusivity. I hear the 05's are def quicker, feeling like a chipped 03'-04' anything else?

MR might be what I'll end up hunting for

I got bored with mine. I guess I like to change cars often, went from the 02 wrx, to the sti, to the evo, I stopped myself there from the MR and just went to a SL. Fast enough and drop top.

I got sick of having the modding disease. Its just too temping with any sport compact.

Anyway, good luck deciding!

Nick

I don't know why people are *****in' bout warranty issues...I have only paid for 1 oil change...and I've had my 04 for a year now...my dealership picks up the tab like any other mitsu...3/36 free maintenence...I understand the 03's didn't have this luxury...but I"m guessing from 04 on they have the 3/36k...my car has 10 K on the clock and no issues...except new tires in like 3k (I also put 50$ a week away for a new clutch...hear that they barely last to 30K). I think the main reason people sell them is that the car appeals to "younger" male buyers...who might not be as financially secure as an "older" buyer, and they mod the hell out of em' and can't figure out why the car keeps throwing codes/blowing up...so they try to get rid of it again...for financial reasons.

If i may add my 2 cents, I wanted an EVO since day 1.

I bought an SRT4 cuz thats what fit my budget, but now I have a better paying job and I'm able to afford an Evo....and I'm picking up my 05 Yellow EVO 8 GSR tomorrow afternoon....

bye bye SRT4!!

I sold my EVO because I recently purchased my first home (I'm 22) and I decided that remodeling/home improvement projects and making principal payments were a bit more important than having a bad *** car. Unlike alot of people I've seen selling their EVO's I could have afforded to keep mine, but chose to spend the money more wisely. Guess im getting older. I have to admit I miss it alot though. Definitely the most fun to drive car I've ever owned. Oh well, when im 35, all the major renovations are done and the house is paid off, i'll get myself a viper or something.

amen...

also good to the guy who went in the house direction. I was to do the same thing at 22, 2yrs ago, but never found a place I wanted to buy house wise n be able to keep the cars so i put it off for a bit longer

someday, someday....

I'm worried if I continue to keep buying these cars I'll never have money tho honestly lol, car #14 i should of learned my lesson I'd hope...apparently at this rate, lesson still being learned.
