Dentistmapped?

Has anyone heard of this company? http://dentistmapped.com/ how do the overseas tuners compare with the American tuners.

Have you considered shipping your ECU overseas? I know the Customer Service issue will be at risk, but sometimes stateside vendors can be bad.

Looks like they support the USA market.

http://dentistmapped.com/ECUTEC.htm with the exchange rate this is expensive.

I wouldnt trust shipping the ECU overseas. On top of that, do you know how long it would take to ship back and forth? I bet you would wait weeks which would suck unless you have an extra ECU laying around.

their access to 91-93 otane fuel is my concern. How could they tune without accessing USDM cars and USDM fuel?

If you read the lancerregister.com, the Dentist has a very good reputation in Europe. Don't know about tuning USDM though.

As far as I understand it, ECUtek is simply software which allows the tuner to map as he sees fit. The resulting tune will only be as good as the tuner who is performing it. "The Dentist" (I guess) is the UK's equivalent to "Dynoflash Al" i.e. a one man travelling band who specializes in tuning Evos in the UK on UK gas (FQ series & JDM imports). I doubt he has any experience in tuning a USDM Evo for our gas.

FlashEVO supports all worldwide Evolution models: Japanese, European, Australian and USA Models These include RSX , RS2, GSR, RS, T.M.E. and the latest MR. As new cars/ECUs are released, support for these will be added to FlashEVO.

Yes, I read that too. It basically means the software will theoretically work with a USDM Evo, but this guy has no experience with USDM Evos.

"Dynoflash Al" is now an authorized ECU-tek tuner; why not contact him.

Thank you, I did not know he used the ECU-tek software, it must be more than his $200.00 basic Dynoflash. I will ask him the benefits/difference and if it is invisible to the dealer.
