WOW...my tires only lasted about 6-7k miles before i replaced them...DAILY DRIVEN 6-7k miles at that...the insides were to the wire basically...i was told by the delearship that my alignment was off when i first took it in for them to look at 2k miles, but their alignment didnt fix it...new tires have 3k on them now and are holding up like champs (maybe because they have a 400 treadwear rating )

at about 6k started showing definate signs of inside wear, at 15k had to be replaced, but then again it had alignment issuse. so it would have worn faster than most people's

Mine lasted 15,500 miles before I had cord showing on the inside of the front tires. I have been running at -1.8 front, -1.3 rear, 0 toe all around. I switched to Kumho Ecsta MX tires and am very impressed with the price/performance ratio. The sidewall is a little softer than the Advans, but they have awesome grip, wet or dry.

7.5K and the tires look pretty new. Never rotated and I'm not very easy on them either. Maybe I got lucky with the factory alignment?

I don't rotate my tires. I feel the tires will wear to that particular corner's 'characteristics' and that's the best spot for it.

As for wear, I get about 10-15k out of each set, going on my 4th in another week or so. Fronts wear almost 2x faster than the backs, usually with more wear on the inside/outside tread blocks of each front tire.

The rears wear pretty evenly, just a little more neg camber wear on the insides.

For the grip they offer, I think they do pretty damn well.

Factory alignment tends to be junk on Evos. I had the dealer realign mine at 7k for free. Inside of fronts wore quicker, I'm at 18k, pretty bad now, but good enough for the drags.

when i first bought my car in 03 the stock Advans didn't last but 8k miles, lol i learned how to power slide a so i would do it any chance i could. this doesn't help your tires life.

but they wear out evenly

I have 18K miles on my original Advans and could have probably gotten ~24K out of them ... unfortunatley my Evo seems to have developed considerable toe-in in the front and has managed to almost nuke two tires before I noticed. Hopefully I'll still get about another 3K out of the current rotation. However as soon as my new wheels arrive, I will be running BFG KD's as my street tires and I will dedicate the stock rims and Advans as track only tires.

The factory manual states that the EVO should be set to 0.8 deg toe-in (I think, number might be larger) in the rear. Combine that with negative camber and that is what is eating the insides of your rears so quickly .... you can change the toe to 0 deg front and rear and not have any significant change in handling, toe-in in the rear makes the rear more stable during cornering .... so factory settings are designed to eat your tires ... SAVAGES!!!
