How is your tire wear on the Advans?
I have just under 9k miles on my car and I did my first tire rotation at ~4k. I had been really busy lately so I had to put off my tire rotation until last night instead of when I turned 8k. When I took off the wheels, I noticed that the rears were more worn than the front
I would've thought that the fronts would wear faster as there's more weight up front. Maybe it's just that I wore my tires out more in the first 4k than in the last 5k? I did do one autox...
I'm confused whether we're supposed to get more wear on the front or rear tires. Also, which end do you guys get your camber wear on? I have very slight camber wear on just ONE rear tire. you guys getting this wear on the fronts or rears?
Thanks.

I'm at 9,994 miles and still running the stock Advans. Haven't rotated them yet (oops) and the rears are fine. The fronts are getting bald, but only on the insides of the tires. I'm not too worried about it, the new ones will be going on next month.
I rotated mine at 3K and when I was washing it at 7K i noticed that the tread was almost gone on the rears. So, I pulled them off and they were slicks. the inside shoulder on the fronts was warn out but the entire rears were gone. I went inside and ordered new tires right then!
P.S. I got Pirelli P Zero Nero M&S and they only lasted 10K with some autocrosses on them. Now I have some BFG G force sport and they are holding up awesome. I did get a second set of rim/tires with advans for auto-x.
Lesson-advans suck for daily driving. They wear too fast. But they rule on the track!

I spend about 4 months each year on snow tires, so I am not sure how many miles are on my advans. Car has 25,000 miles with over half of that on the Advans. They are getting down to the end of life now. I will be replacing them next time I change out to snow tires this fall. I think I will probably get new rims and put another set of Advans on them.
Everyone with short tire life.... what are your alignment specs set at? The factory spec sheet gives different specs for performance, and for touring.... if you have your alignment shop set it to the performance specs your tires will go rather quickly.

I just replaced my original Advans. They had almost 11,000 miles on them and still had a little tread left. I replaced them because I was going on a 1000 mile road trip (round trip) and was worried that I wouldn't have much tread left for the drive back. Glad I replaced them because 150 miles of my return trip were in heavy rain. I had pretty even wear front to rear and across the tread. I had one autocross on those tires as well.

I replaced mine at 14k and they still had a good thousand or two left. (I read the boards b4 I got the car so I knew how fast they would wear so I took it easy).
You should put an "Even wear" option up there as mine wore out equally front and back. As long as you rotate they should wear evenly.

The first 8K miles my advans wore nice and evenly. After winter I put them back on and they only lasted 2K before the inner sides of the front and rear were completely gone, to the point where they were unsafe. I had no idea because the outsides looked like they were in great condition, considering the mileage that was on them. I got underneath to change my oil and couldn’t believe the insides were gone.
At just over 10k miles my rear tires are starting to cord. Dumbass owner before me never rotated them so the shot rears were on the front for 7.5k miles. Outsides worn down to nothing.
The EVO comes from the factory with a little rear toe in. Having toe in or toe out eats tires quickly .... you guys need to get an alignment and zero out your front and rear toe settings. I got an alignment as soon as I purchased my car and I haven't had any wearing issues on the stockers ...

Second this! Before driving the car out the lot make sure they freaking align the car or show you some aligment setting of the car.

It's bad enough the advan doesn't last too long but couple with bad toe settings
