The 272 set shines plenty... only down side is that it idles with a big set of *****. Never stalled, never studdered... as I said before lopes steady and strong like an Olympic athlete's heart beat. Granted I only made 333whp and 317ft lbs way up at 4000rpm on the stock turbo, but it is *** loads better than stock low end.

BTW Mustang Dyno...

I would do some reading on lift and duration and then choose a cam that will fit the bill for those areas, and also decide on if you're going to upgrade the turbo or anything else in the future. The smallest I would do is 272's if you're ever going to upgrade.

lol i would agree that alot has changed in 5 years. i wouldnt go any smaller than 272's either. im planning on upgrading to a pte6262 on the stock block for now. i was thinking of running the 280's (int/exh) with the supertech dual spring and retainer kit, and upgrade the valves as well. that way i could leave the head alone if i ever went with a built shortblock and wanted to make more power.

I have GSC S1s. Not installed yet, but I've heard they are pretty good for DD and not bad for performance either.

Go with gsc s1. They have proven to make great midrange power for the stock turbo and have stock-like idle and drivability. I have hks 272s and the idle is kinda rough (but sounds pretty good). However, for some of u saying that 272s dont make power on the stock turbo, Im not sure where you're getting your info from. I gained 40whp switching from stock cams to hks 272 and stock IC and piping to ETS 3" core and 2.5" piping, without raising boost a bit. More peak tq and less tq taper throughout. S1 should do the trick if u want some power with little to no idle/drivability changes

Runnin dual BC 272's on stock and still idles just fine, it was really near idle. Was quite surprised when I got the car tuned and the first drive back, was expecting it to be much more rough.
