dang i shoulda signed up here hella long ago, didnt kno this place existed until today, well my ex girlfriend lives in osaka japan and her dad works at the corporate office of . I asked her to get info on the US evo7. her dad said that the Evo 7 should be released before Jan of 2003 and that it will have the 280HP 4G63t Engine and that it will have all the same stuff as the j spec evo and it will come at 24-25k msrp. If u dont think im serious then call up corporate

I would love to believe you man, cause those specs are exactly what I'm hpopin for, but we've just had soooooooo many of those same kinda stories fer awhile now, and it's tough to know which ones to believe and which ones not to, 'cause they're all different

i was told they would come in U.S.-only colors:
puke green, bright purple, polka dot, tie dye, sage and white.

Peach Pink is supposed to be another color for the US Market.

Yes, it's the same engine. There are NT versions of the 4G63 though.

About the US-Spec Evo having 280, I'm not too sure on that. I've heard it was going to have around 250-260HP. I could be wrong though.

Actually, it doesn't matter how much HP it has stock. Just get a BC and up the boost

 

Its quite possible that it will come out with 280 hp, but after all the emissions crap.....might drop it down to around 260 or so. Either way I just waiting for an official word on specs, price, color, AYC or not, etc.....I just wish the Mitsu execs would get off their a$$es and give us something solid.

 

If euro has 300hp isn't 280 really realistic?

 

The Euro that you're talking about is a 300bhp rip-off Ralliart version which has mods of a total worth of 5 Euros or something. the standard car is 280 bhp...
