Just picked up the latest CAR magazine. Again, i'm too lazy to check if it's been posted so you can WTLW me if you'd like. Here's their verdict of the JDM Evo 8.

"Evos, by tradition, are born to slide, but on this day we had dogged, high-g neutrality by the barrowload, leading into full-on understeer. To get the back end moving, you have to be a lot more aggressive with the right pedal and wheel. Ah, but when it does slide, it's all so easy, a blast to balance on the throttle. By the same token, though, it's less tippy toe than the Evo VII, a bit less involving. Like it or not, the Evo has taken another step towards maturity. Indeed, word is that the US-spec Evo VIII, which doesn't get the AYC is a simpler, more sideways kind of car, like Evos past." Peter Nunn CAR magazine.
