So is Seibon the way to go when getting a good quality trunk & hood, any pictures of Seibon hood trunk combo on an Evo?

 

Are any of the hoods completely CF or do they all have a fiberglass frame under them?

 

Varis makes a hood and trunk in full carbon fiber.
More expensive than the other brands though.

 

Fiberimages is also full CF

 

the actual cf parts would be the actual JDM ones like Gialla and Cwest. seibon makes replicas and some of their own things. if u want seibon products talk to jeff from 500whp.com, hell hook u up

 

Fiberimages is most definitely not full carbon

the only full carbon ones I know of on the market are CWest, Varis, Monster Sport

 

How about carbon hoods and trunks that actually do what their supposed to do, SHAVE WEIGHT? The seibon stuff actually save weight? or is it a "I gots mad tyte carbon fiba now" thing?

 

well i just bought a seibon hood. its pretty much the same as the oem hood, if not less then it. but mainly its for looks. if you want something that will shave you 2-4 lbs off ur hood, then spend 1300 dollars on a real JDM gialla or c-west hood.

Varis full carbon hood 13lbs, full carbon trunk around 9lbs maybe slightly less, both of which are much lighter than stock. Other brands are the same weightas stock if not a little heavier.
