how much boost "spike" is normal

Can I get any upgrade to get rid of the boost spike? After upgrades, my car spikes to 23psi when I have it set for 19psi. At the track, running 23psi, my car spikes off the meter past 25psi. I know spike is normal, but what part will prevent this wide range of spike and keep things closer together?

On street gas, I am not supposed to boost over 19psi, but when I have it set to run 19psi, it spikes well into 23psi setting off my alarms and automatically runs my 101 octane race map.

Can anyone help? I got a 1g BOV with my Buschur upper IC pipe kit. Bypass valve is stock and everthing is vented stock too. Thanks.

depends on the temp and depends on the boost gauge. some aren't that acurate past 21psi, so...

it shouldn't spike that high. if you set it 19psi, without mbc, it should peak at around 22 to 23 psi when the weather is cold.
