Going to be away for about 2-3 months, what should i do?

Hi guys im about ready to leave and head over to egypt to do some work and will be gone at least 2 months if not 3 and was wondering if i should

A. Have someone start my car every so often. (like 2 times a week)

B. disconnect the battery and leave it until i return.

please note that i have a mini battery. Also was wondering if leaving the mini battery out for so long if it will have any affects/damage to the battery, dont know too much about mini batterys. Thanks for the input guys

just change your oil, get the car warm, shut it off and disconnect your battery.. typically if the car sits for more than 6 months you should sguirt oil in the pistons but youll be fine...

You got some shelter for the car? Or will it be parked outside? My friend left for an one-month trip one time and left his car in the garage, when he got back parts of the car started to rust. Although the car was in the garage, I guess the humidity they have down in south Florida was to blame, dunno if that's the case for where you are at.

don't forget to wash your car because any acid will due major damage in 2 months time, add a fuel stabilizer to keep the gas fresher

disconnect the battery, and change you oil when you get back (before starting it).

You may also want to jack the car up and rest it on jack stands so you don't get flat spots on your tires.

you can take your insurance down to partial coverage if the vehicle is out of use, I did this when I broke my leg late march. It still keeps the banks happy since it is still covered for theft/fire but you cannot drive it while it's like this. Saved me 600 int he last 3 months. And idea so you can have extra mod money when your get back

In the Vegas summer heat?? I would drain the tank and the fuel lines so you dont get varnish build-up. Jacking the car is a good idea too. Definately disconnect the batt.

I've had to leave my car in one spot for about 6 months when I was in college. First, get gas stabalizer, fill the tank to full, put it in the tank and then run the car for about 10 minutes to circulate the stabalizer. Remove the battery and leave it inside. If you've got a car cover or a garage, wash it then put it there. I replaced the oil before I went away too and then when I came back. Other than that, you should be fine. I never put my car up on jackstands and didnt have problems with flatspotting for 6 months, but I did not have the Yoko's on the car I left either so maybe the OEM's are more prone to flatspotting. Lastly, when you get back, drive slowly for a little while with the brakes applied to rub the rotor rust off before you get into traffic.

That depends on how dirty it is right now. If its been in there for a while change it, that way the acids in it (from combustion gasses ect) wont eat anything. Thats the whole point for changing it.
