My car got hit and may need a new bumper cover.

How much is a stock evo 8 bumper and does it come painted?

Im thinking about an evo 9 bumper.

I've tried a search but found nothing

 

They are about $400 (give or take) and it doesn't come painted. All the part numbers for each color all go into one unpainted part #.

 

yep, ~ $400 unpainted from Mitsu. I'd say ur better off geting the Evo 9 bumper or an aftermarket. I wish someone would make a replica OEM bumper that would be less expensive.

 

That sucks Chris. Sorry to hear that. I just had the same crap happen to me yesterday -- someone at my work backed into my and then left!!! They didn't even tell me! I was out in the lot today looking for my paint on cars but didn't find any There are about 20 or some people out of the office today....

I was just quoted 400 for the new paint job too...it's a shame Mitsu parts are so damn expensive!!!

 

my friend rear ended me so i know who it was. He will be paying for it. Most of the damage is underneath though. The bumper beam is all ****ed up. He thinks it's just a scratch nd will cost liek 200 to fix.

Not the case

 

$400 is about right for paint. i just got a quote to buy the paint materials alone to paint my bumper and they were almost $200.

On a side note Kronik do you travel around mt. zion? i passed a bby evo there the other day.

nope its tarmac. my girlfriend lives about 1-2 miles off the exit. on my way to her house a few days ago i passed a lowered bby. might have been you. if it was nice looking car. i'd like mine to have a stance like that, but waiting on funds to get coil-overs.

 

Well there are actually two BBY's near that exit. Could have been me -- I recall seeing a black evo once...but don't recall when. That also could have been 992gnt's evo as well.

You should meet up with us sometime -- we go to the local auto-x's, cruise-in's, or just work on our cars.
