Cop Thought my BOV was N20...
Well im driving back home down a main street and i have a Greddy Type S on my car and i was shifting at like 3k rpm and i guess this bike cop was posted on a small street or something, i turn onto my street less than 20 secs from my house, i see him in my rear view and yup he turns on the blue and reds...so i turn the car off and wait for him to come over. My girlfriend is scared because she's afraid it might be something serious. He comes over and asks how am i doing, etc... then he asks "do u have nos in this thing", i say no. He asks what was that sound, i tell him.."oh its my blow off valve, its there to prevent my turbo from surging or getting damaged". He says oh ok well u have a couple other things wrong with ur car like no front plate and modified exhaust (HKS Carbon Ti). So i tell him my car never came with a front plate bracket and he says to get 1. He then goes and writes me a ticket and lets me slide on the modified exhaust as its NOT a simple fix-it ticket anymore. I tell him its 50state legal 
. He says to watch out for fake items that claim 50state legal and he also asks do i have anything illegal under my hood. I say nope and he says to be careful cuz theyre cracking down on street racing here in Fresno and people have things like AIR CANNON FILTERS under their hoods. HAHAHA.. i almost started laughing... its kinda odd if i did have nitrous, why would i use it while slowing down?

damn, sucks their getting very serious with the modifications and thing there in cali and here in florida now. i mean i havent heard anything too much about modding the car but racing their trying to catch everyone.
Actually, he thought the sound of your BOV was N2O. Plenty of people have purge kits on their systems and when they hit the button to purge the lines it can sound similar. Had he looked at the BOV and thought it was part of a N2O system that would have been funny. My two favorite quotes from cops:
After being pulled over in my 5.0 Crustang and having the cop poking around under my hood, he sees the CARB sticker and asks what it is, and where the carburetor is. Mind you, this was in CA. Funny that I should have to explain what California Air Resource Board is, and why my car is missing the "carb" He also wanted to know why my power steering pump (in his eyes the smog pump) wasn't hooked up. Idiot.
I had another cop pull me over once in a parking lot in the same car with a whole lot of loud exhaust. I was doing 10mph, but it was so loud that I was told to "Get my foot out of the carburetor!"

if you did have a n20 and get pulled over. You could have the cop look at the purger, while he's looking at it, purge real quick, blind him then take off.
