Running 2 battery ????

Running 2 battery ????

Anyone know if running two battery in parallel (one in the trunk) will help the car out when AC is turned on or will it fry things Anyone tried this yet?

i run 2 batterys, but not for my AC, on for my sound/video system. and on for my car.

not unless you change the compressor to pull more current out of two batteries...two batteris will not do anything though.

not sure what you mean by "help the car out when the A/C is on" the power loss you feel when the A/C is on is due to the fact that your engine now has to turn the compressor for the A/C system, not becuase it is draining too much electrical current(I think), so my answer is two batteries will probably do nothing for what you are asking.

the only current draw from the ac comp. is for the clutch to kick on and off.. so 2 batt will do nothing.. your idle stepper motor if working properly will solve any a/c idle issues..

bigger and more powerful alternator might help.

or just take the ac out and replace it with the walmart school bus driver fan. those things are fun.

just buy a better batter like optima and then a bigger alternator. this is the best fix unless your only talking about battery need when you car is turned off with lots of jams.
