Milwaukee Auto Show Evo!!

Had the opportunity to meet Fireball at the Milwaukee Auto Show..

Also saw the EVO!! All I can say is the pictures DO NOT do this ride justice!! It is agressive!!!

Can't wait till it gets here! I'm glad I could see it, to tide me over until mine arrives..

I didn't have tons of time tonight to take as many pics as I wanted, but I did get a number of HIGHRES shots of some of the things that we've been missing. I'll have a ton more Saturday night when I work again. To access them, click on the link below. I'm not putting them on here, because I want to keep them in the HIGHRES format that they're in.

Let me know if you have any special requests for HIGHRES pics before Saturday. I'll be able to get into the car then to take the inside shots.

One of four or five reps, yes. No information that I don't already know. From what I can see, 2 weeks and counting peeps until d-day.

The photo underside_ducting.jpg looked like the brake cooling kit. Does that come stock on the Evo? I thought it was $150 option from the dealer? It would seem odd to have that option on a car designated for autoshows.

There's a different guide that actually connects to the lower arms of the suspension for air management. The pics I took are of the tray under the front of the car for air management.

Are those guides for aero-dynamic stability? I am not familiar with them?

Thanks for the info,

You may want to go read the Evo encyclopedia, available on this site. It has very specific info regarding it.

but, in a nutshell, those guides are to direct airflow to specific places under the car for cooling. And they are also used to decrease front end lift.

Thanks for the direction to the info. Let me see if I got this now. So the undertray provides channels for the transmission, xfer case cooling, and reduce lift, as well as the beginnings of the brake cooling ducts. To fully inplement the brake cooling kit, you have to buy the additional pieces that attach to the A-arms that bring the air right up to the caliper? Is that right?

Yes, in a nutshell, that's a good summary.
