Confirmation of VA EVOs
Confirmation of VA EVOs
I went to the dealer yesterday and he told me that its confirmed that the evos are coming next month. There are two things that are gonna hurt us evo buyers.
1) Theres going to be only 3 sold here in Virginia Beach
2) Each of the 3 are being sold for $35,000!!
That's F%!@#%$ crazy!!

I've got one for ya!!
Ok, truthfully I'm paying slightly over sticker for my car, in reality I'll probably get it for MSRP because I did call a connection at MitsubishiUSA and he did say that dealers are being instructed to sell the cars at MSRP, and that its likely cars will be produced to satisfy demand, in otherwords, don't worry if you can't get one because you will eventually.
Now to my interesting tidbit.. There are approximately a 8-10 Mitsubishi dealers in my area, many of them probably will not get any cars in the first wave, maybe none in the second wave also. But I also got word of a dealer getting 15 or more cars, and charging $6000 over MSRP, I think their in for a rude awakening. I think what they may be doing is negotiating with several dealers to get their allocations. This just doesn't seem right, and I hope that Mitsubishi gets word of this. (Hint hint, its on Long Island) I'm pretty happy with my dealer because he is being proactive about getting me information as soon as he gets it, not so sure how true all of it is, but my only gripe is paying over MSRP, Truth is I have a deposit at two dealers for an A00 black car and whichever gets me MSRP will get the sale. I did get in writing that the deposit is refundable.
Also, just a quick bit of advice.. you can test drive a car if you put a deposit on it. However they may give you a hard time about getting a refund on your deposit. A bit of a problem if you ask me.

I put up a thread about the Evos in NoVa for UNDER MSRP late last week...in the Evo General forum....go look it up.
But I don't think my dealer is going to want to deal with a guy who is thinking about trading up...they want deposits. So tell your friend good luck
But also tell him not to bother calling if he is not sure he wants an Evo.
