I saw HouseDJ run his 13 at Firebird. It was almost midnight and still very hot outside. I'm sure he'd be in the low 12's if he lived in the DC area.

Is that a correct statement? That 03's "only" trap 101-102 mph. IIRC, those trap speeds seem to be similar to what Motor Trend got while testing the 05 MR, RS and GSR....100-102.8mph. It appears that, like the 03's, 05's are capable of trapping very similar speeds in the hand of a competent driver.

Huh? No, the 05s consistently trap higher than 03/04s in stock form. That's a fact, not an opinion. I could care less what Motor Trend claims. I got 103.89mph on my very first try in stock form with a weak 60', and that's less than lots of others who have gotten 104-105. A few 03/04s got over 102mph, but those were the exception to the norm...

Yah, you are "sure" he'd drop an entire second just by changing his location? That's absurd. Sure the heat was higher, but there's no humidity. I did my times in 80 degrees with 70% humidity. Not as bad as Florida, but bad nonetheless. Anyway, a 107mph trap is good for 12.5s, so the only thing slowing him down was himself (and the ridiculous 25psi).
