Angry Trip to Dealership = Nothing fixed and 2 new weird noises

I took my car to the dealership Friday first mistake.

I took it in for warped rotors, a condition that appeared almost immediately following my 15k service. I thought that maybe unequally- or over-torqued wheels were causing the vibration while braking from high speeds.

I left the car there in the morning and at 12pm they told me that they couldn't warrantee the brakes, and that I should come pick up the car. The note on the paperwork stated that the tech couldnt replicate the problem, which is BS because at this point you can feel the warp in the rotors at parking lot speeds. I got in the car to find my shifter dirty and greasy and all of my seat/mirror/heater adjustments fooled-around-with. At this point I felt like, "Well, at least they drove it" Only I now noticed that they never recorded the mileage reading for when the car was released, the paperwork stated 17696/17696 for mileage in/out when my Odometer read 17698. Again, not a terribly big deal.

Now, for the new problems. My Greddy Type-S (recirculating, single spring mod, one-turn on the adjustment screw) now squeaks when building boost. As I accellerate slowly, the valve squeaks between 5 inHG and 0 psi...that's something i've never experienced before.

sound #2 is a light mechanical squeak..could be a light exhaust rattle type sound but i think it's coming from one of the belt pulleys...its hard to tell if its a pulley or the cam gears (stock) or the crankcase.

Could these both be cause by the excessive amount of rain and humidity we've been having here lately? Could driver abuse cause a new sqeak in the BOV or problems with pulley bearings?

any help or insight would be appreciated.

at this point i am 50-50 on calling the dealership monday to complain but i know it wont make a difference

That sucks. I noticed that I have heard a wierd squeak on my EVO in the same location near the belts as well. I just bought the car so it could be normal and I am just worrying too much.

Good luck finding your problems.

Yeah I used to panic when I heard wierd noises from my evo. I'm so used to it now that I basically just ignore them now. Our cars are not meant to be quiet. I'm not saying not to take a wierd noise seriously, I'm just staying that it could possibly just be normal.

thanks for the reassurance, i figured its not too critical, with the car getting to be 20k miles i expect a little "wear noise" i guess i just listened extra hard since it was at the stealership.

anyone experienced the Tpye-S noise?

gl trying to get the dealer to fix the aftermarket bov sound

but you could have the dealer look at sound #2. they might be able to find something too tight or too loose

This raises an important question. Where Do EVO owners take the car other than the dealer for Diagnosing? For an Example, To get these Items repaired where should he go? Tuner shop that installs parts yet doesn't deal with "repairing" ?
