You probably need to get your tires balanced or your rotors turned. It is usually only the front ones that require this (rotors). Hope this helps.

Common problem with the EVO. SOme say it's the rotors and some say it's due to the pad transfer. I suggest turning your rotors or skiming it and getting a new set of aftermarket pads with proper bed-in. I recently replace my pads but did not turn my rotors. WHeel still shakes during highway braking. This could be due to the fact that I was not able to do ten 10 60-10mph stops.

yep. Resurface rotors or just replace them...if you were in the market for them anyways, go for slotted.

rotors, rotors, rotors.....turn, turn, turn.....wheel shake upon brake pedal pressure is most likely the rotors...

If your wheel was out of balance...it would shake regardless if you had applied brake pressure or not....but usually at certain speeds when the harmonic balance is off..

it's ur rotors dude....

I had the same problem, and my Evo has under 3000 miles on it. There was a slight vibration in the steering wheel when the brakes were applied. I took it into the dealership yesterday, and they discovered that the pads were defective. They replaced them all and turned the rotors. The warranty covered it all. 5000 miles is too early for you to be having this problem. See what they say.
