Cool Anyone in the Washington DC metro area make any deposits yet.

I have called a couple of dealerships in MD and VA. The MD dealerships are not taking orders but getting emails to notify intrested parties about the arrival of this vehicle. The VA guys I think are fudging, cuz they are saying it will come in sept of 02 or maybe even late this summer, and are taking $500 dollar deposits. Which I think by the way is a scam if I have not already stated earlier. When I ask about specs, or what is the confirmation on this news they say they can't really say. <<< ??? But anyhow, just wanted to see if anyone in the area has given them their money or got any (real) good news. Ok all take care.

Carmax in laurel. Md is where I am # 1 on the list ( It helps my mother is buisness office manager ) I don't know if they are taking info from the general public. I know there is me and one employee on the list though. They don't really have that much more info on it then we do....

I have not put any money down.

Cool

Car Max in Laurel...hmmm so what you are saying is that you are on a internal list for the car that is not yet open for the public? Or the public just doesn't know about it...not that I would want them to know either....anyhow what are they listing the price as, do you have any confirmation on that from your mom? Thanks.

No idea on price. This appears to be an internal list, for which I am # 1 I suppose they would add you to their list as well. They are the largest dealer in MD (Volumewise) The mitsu Sales manager told me that if mitsu does come over with limmited quantity, the will probably give more to the dealers who have higher volume. These guys usually sell 250+ cars in a weekend (not all Mitsu's) Give them a call, and see what the can do.

Cool

I gave them a call, at first they said they have no idea what I was talking about. Then the guy went and asked another guy working there who said "Check back early next year.": So I don't really know as to what the situation is, at that dealership when other dealerships acknowledge that they are getting the car next year or end of this year. Heck some have even gone so far as to say, this summer I think I am going to wait about putting a deposit and maybe put myself on a list if they have one.

Let us know if your momz learns anything new, I might have to swing by and give her dealership some bidness if the info is good.
