Yeah, be carefull about the .45 pull. There are plenty of other alternative "assault" devices that are considered level 1 uses of force. Get a tazer, or some pepper spray. This is my perfect scenerio. You wake up to find some punk trying to get into your EVO. You sneak up and say something like "how is going?" Its Human instict to look up, so you hit them with a face full of pepper spray. Even if they have a weapon they can't see two feet in front of them. Then you pull your tazer and keep them subdued with 5 second rounds of electricity until the police arrive.....or the battery wears out. Keep the 45 holstered (if you have a CPL) and only pull it out when you are prepared to kill someone (you have a direct threat to you life....ie:subject has a gun) The punk has two ways to win in this situation, either they make off with your stuff, or they send you to jail becuase they're dead. Avoid both!! 2 cents

that happened to my old car before. The didn't have the patience to unscrew my cd player out, instead tried to rip it out. Didn't succeed, so they took my faceplate and my burned cds...

What the F are they going to do with a faceplate for a cd player they don't have??? They never came back for the cd player...

amateurs kids...that really shows you how stupid some of these thiefs are...they can't even steal what they want. Life will be very harsh on them..haha

 

you got to get an alarm. the pepper spray idea was great. that stuff will stop anyone right in their tracks its no joke.
my 1st jeep had the headunit stolen out of it while i was at lunchh one day. i was parked on a busy main st and i was only inside for 5 mins picking our order. theives will do anything its pathetic. sounds like yours were new at this. good lluck hunting them down

 

Sorry to hear bro. Alarm is a sound investment. A lot of places give you insurance discount as well. Plus get Lojack. SAve even more $$$ on insurance, AND sleep better knowing the baby's safe...

 

i had an alarm on my old eclipse, but that didn't stop my mexican neighbors from breaking into to it twice. i was moving home from colorado to illinois that day and was at my GF for the last night there. left my car at home and woke up to a phone call at 6:00 am that my alarm was going off. Idiots wanted my kickers and amp and tried to rip them out of the car. fortunatley they didin't take the time to unscrew any of the wires so it stayed in the car. $250 for each window plus tint. what a waste.
