at least you still have your car. Mine was stolen and then they blew the motor and poured sugar in the gas tank. Talk about a total loss. Most of the thieves that break into cars are people that you know. Friends of a Friend that you have. Invest in a club, kill switch, and alarm. I have.

Yea I guess I should get an alarm... even though it isnt much of a deterant anymore, but I do have Lojack. Tinting the windows is also a route I should take cuz it will make it slightly harder to see whats inside.

Dont most places have the make my day law. I know in Colorado if someone is trying to jack my **** and i catch them or whatever I can shoot. And I think theives here know that. There arent too many breakins around me. 2 blocks from me a guy shot a burglar and killed him. I would do the exact same thing. Glock 22, M1 Garand replica, and a Mossberg pump. better be able to run faster than a bullet. Oh and i do have a grage and the alarm is coming. Viper 791 with remote start!!!

Trust me when I say don't rely on pepper spray. It's a 50/50 shot it will have the intended effect. For half the people it will not phase them at all. Speaking from experience.

I feel yah on this...my Evo had to be parked outside because the rest of the garage was full of cars....i guess that's what I get for being the last one home. Some jackass smashed my window and stole my V1 radar detector....my alarm went off and we were outside in 10 seconds, but the little ***** just wanted the V1 and was in and out...oh I wish he would have taken another 2 seconds....the varsity track side of me would have come back on and been on him like white on rice..

But there was actually a happy ending in this story......the police intercepted a box of stolen stuff and found my radar detector.....they used the serial numbers that valentine one puts on their detectors and traced it back to me...i get the detector back and the idiots had a return address on the box......can we say busted? I can't wait for the investigation to be over so I can get even with the little bastards.

This is my perfect scenerio. You wake up to find some punk trying to get into your EVO. You sneak up and say something like "how is going?" Its Human instict to look up, so you hit them with a face full of pepper spray. Even if they have a weapon they can't see two feet in front of them. Then you pull your tazer and keep them subdued with 5 second rounds of electricity until the police arrive.....or the battery wears out. Keep the 45 holstered (if you have a CPL) and only pull it out when you are prepared to kill someone (you have a direct threat to you life....ie:subject has a gun) The punk has two ways to win in this situation, either they make off with your stuff, or they send you to jail becuase they're dead. Avoid both!! 2 cents
You can't just spray or tazer someone for trying to steal your car, you'd probably get sued or possibly put in jail for felony assault. If you're going to use it in that type of situation, make sure you yell, "Drop the weapon!" before you spray.

Pepper spray + tazer is also a bad idea and police officers are taught not to combine the two as some pepper spray's propellent is flammable. There was a situation once where police officers were trying to get a drugged out kid out of a room and they sprayed and sprayed and sprayed, but no luck due to the drugs the kid was on. Then another police officer decided to use his tazer on the kid. Next thing they knew, the kid caught fire and he ended up dying.

Yup, they just need to f'ing die... If you wanted you should be able to leave you car unlocked and the key in the ignition with the cd's in the seat and the sh!$ should still be there when you get back, however long they may be... Lazy bastards... Can you tell I'm still bitter about the times I've been hit? Arrrgggg!

disable the clutch switch that prevents the car from starting without the clutch being pressed in? keep the rfid part of the key wired into your ignition switch? *shrug*
