Injen Technology is looking for YOU!!!

Injen Technology is looking for a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO for prototyping our cold air intake system. The volunteer will receive a brand new cold air and be the first to review its performance gains. We will also provide the volunteer with an actual dyno chart [stock vs. Injen] from our in-house Dynojet Facility.

For comparison reasons, our Mazdaspeed intake system dynoed 10-12 hp more than stock. If anyone is interested, please contact Paul@Injen.com.

Damn, all the manufacturers are always in Cali I'm hoping the companies makin parts dont completely forget about the 2002/2003 lancers once the evo comes out. I just picture all these parts constantly being made for the evo and nothing more for us reg. lancers =(

Nah, I suspect if anything the Lancer will now become more visible.. I have yet to see an actual Lancer out in the wild on long Island.. Not that there aren't any.. Just not very common I suppose. Does it really make sense to look for a fresh air system for a car that already draws fresh air from outside the engine bay? Maybe less restrictive, but I think the EVO's restriction will be the throttle body.. I don't know that you'd get a huge benefiet of 'ram air' or any other cold air intake other than increased airflow on a turbo car. I'd like to see someone work with the ECU.. Does anyone know if these cars have a standard OBD2 diagnostic port? I can actually hook up my laptop to one of those and read just about every sensor available on the car, and if I had specific info, even undocumented information. I'm also a programmer which means I could write an app specifically to monitor the proprietary sensors.

If you write it, they will come.

Sounds like you could write something similar to VAG-COM for VW/Audi. I've got a copy and it's great... also know the developer, too. Good guy... Check it out: www.ross-tech.com

If you were to write something similar, I'd buy.

mmmm VAG-COM was very helpful to me.

Would love to see something similar for the lancer.

Actually, I found something from a site www.scantool.net which has an OBD-II Interface.. what I find interesting is it reads the major sensors, including manifold pressure, negative or positive, RPM, Speed, temps.. etc.. I purchased one of those interfaces and will start playing with an app to read the sensors and display them on a screen in real time.. If I can do something useful I'll let you guys in on it.
