On the Track...
throw some slicks on a stock T/A and i would beleive 12.9. just from the few times i have been to the strip, i can say for certain that they are traction limited off the line, and would have much better times with slicks getting the traction they need.
Yeah he said it was stock. I'm just having a hard time with it. You know, a $10K car can beat a $34K bone dry. What is the first mod I should do that would give me the most bang out of the rest? I'm still completely stock I just want this guy to chew his hat.

Thats what I was looking at, if he is pushing that much power to 2 wheels he has to be spinning them.
if thats the thinking, consider how many 60k cars we can blow away and beat... how much the car costs means nothing... the driver and horsepower is what wins.. nothing else..

whats the big deal? a camaro or Ta will always beat you on the strip if he/she chooses to do that. whats the best evo time? like 9.7 or something? there are T/A's that can do low 9's on the stock bottom end if i'm not mistaken. so how about you not care who is faster in a straight line, and go to the real race track and pull a few laps there. then you will see why american muscle is nothing but a straight line car. oh and by the way, my 5k dollar porsche 944 turbo would destroy my evo on the highway... it was gutted weight roughly 2650-2700 pounds, and had a good 300hp with the torque to match. there was so much more power to be had, but the cost was prohibitive. point is the evo was designed for a purpose, and it was not to drag race. the TA was designed to drag race so don't be surprised when he beats you.

i dunno man.. i came from a 2000 WS6 TA to my evo.. and well ... i never had a single problem with the car-- cant say the same about my evo
Yeah, don't get me wrong, I love my EVO but you just gotta love the rumble of a nice V8. I admit, sometimes I tend to drool...
I like Chevy engines best (guess that's just what I was raised on). Too bad they don't make anything I'd like to be seen driving around in except the Vettes...

my friend has an 02 TA and just put down 310 to the wheels stock last Sat. I followed him onto the highway one day when I was stock and he just walked away. I have since done a dynoflash with boost control and think it would be even now.
