I need advise choosing car. under $35000
I had a G35 sedan and got rid of it cause it wasn't very fun to drive. To big and heavy for me plus I didn't want to do track days it. I would steer away from the used M3. Expensive to fix and it is always hard to tell how much a car with 40K was beat on. In the end it depends on what you want out of the car. All out performance and you don't care that every high school kid is gonna try and race you...go with the EVO. If you want more of a status or "grown up" car then go with the G or M. For me it is all about the performance, unfortunately it took a G35 for me to realize it.

wOW!
Thanx for the thoughtful input guys!!
Here is the deal..
I have been diehard M3 fan for as long as I can remember, but
money is money
I am leaning toward M3 but I am not sure how realiable M3 is.
Also if I buy Evo brand new, doesn't it comes with free-maintance warranty?
If so, how long is it??
thanx again

The 3yr/45k free maintenance incentive is no longer in effect.
The standard warranty includes:
- 5yr/60k bumper to bumper
- 10yr/100k powertrain
- 7yr/100k rust protection (or whatever it's called)
Mods will likely cause warranty denials.
I am also a big fan of BMWs, especially the Ms. I was in similar shoes about 1 yrs ago when I was looking to retire my BMW. My car choices were: E46 M3, Audi S4, STI, and Evo.
My deciding factor for choosing Evo are: 1) AWD. I live in Northern IL. The winter over here can be pretty bad. Eventhought, I drove my BMW for last 5 winters. But it wasn't fun in the winter. 2) Handling. I test drove all my choices. No one on the list came close. 3) Deal. I got a great deal on the Evo.
After about one yr, here is my impression with Evo. It is not an luxury car(dont' waste your money on the sun and fun package). It is a pure high performance car. It has a harsh ride and cheap interior. And it is loud and squeaks, I expected all these when I got the car. But what I didn't expect is the quality of Mitsubishi dealer service. They are BAD, no they are TERRIBLE!!!, and they are stupid. They tried to void my warrant, when I told them that I replaced the brake fluid with DOT4 ATE blue. But, it was clearly stated that DOT3 and DOT4 is approved on the brake reservoir cap. At a different dealer, they screwed up on flushing my brake system. The pedal went total soft and they insist that was normal. I was very close to sell my Evo at that point. What kept me from doing that is the car's performance. Everytime, I drive it(on the road, and on the track), I can't stop smiling and temporary forget all the negatives previously mentioned. Evo truly is a great performance car.
So, if you looking for a pure high performance car, then Evo is it. Look else where, if you want any luxury and good customer service.
Good luck with your decision.

M3s are great and definately different from an Evo.
I've owned both and love each for what it is.
The M3 resale value will blow away the others but its a heavier car than the Evo.
The Infiniti is a dead dog.
