What do you have your tire pressures at? I've seen a few accidents where people lose control and one of the contributing factors is tire pressure that is too high...

they were under inflated a bit actually! but im glad i didnt hurt anyone else after i hit i jumped out of the car and grabbed the tire and then i kicked the crap out of it

friend of mine

Hey man , sorry to hear about your accident, hope you and your car are ok. this just happened to a friend of mine. he was on the highway and he tried to avoid a huge tie in the road and swerved to the left then the rear gave away and the car crashed from the front side into the barrier and it spun around and the rear hit the barrier. his car was totaled but nothing happened to him or the interior. the air bags didn't go off either. he had a black evo stock

i cant understand how all of these evo wrecks have one thing in common.. everyone says the rear stepped out.. these cars do not loose rear traction all that easy, even under throttle.. it takes alot of go pedal to make these things step out on purpose.. i guess its people who are to inexpierenced to drive these cars and handle them when a situation arrises.. guess i answered my own question..

sometimes my rear brake get loose too. it's scary. evo has unbalanced braking when full braking in high speed...
sorry to hear that. that sucks.
i know, when some unexpected situation like that happens, we lose our mind...

i have mashed the brakes many times at high speeds and have not noticed balance issues.. maybe its different betwen 03 and 05.. just remember loosing your mind under pressure gets people killed... if someone knows they cant handle the car, either go to school or sell the car.. before someone gets killed.. sorry for ot, but i drive over 500 mi a day and im sick of bad drivers, or drivers who cant handle a car or a bad situtation..

In most the larger cities I've been in, you have a better chance of hitting the lottery than distancing yourself from other drivers. To many people watching Nascar I guess

everyone is entitled to throw in their two pennies but to me it looks like your trying to prove sumthin? I mean this didnt happen to you and just because your a rally driver doesnt mean your never gonna get into an accident no ones perfect ( not you just an example) i tried to avoid colliding with sumthin on a off ramp couldnt avoid it and i wrecked im not perfect i dont think that if i was in anyother car it WOULD have happened just wasnt my day maybe karma who knows like i said earlier im glad i hit the curb that launched my car into the desert if i would have slammed the brakes i would have caused an accident.....I know i can handle my car otherwise i would have gotten a lowrider or a big truck but hey this is what i like we all have a lot to learn yes there are bad drivers out there but you should learn to be better than those bad drivers that way you know how to react so maybe as well as others should look into a class??? i think i will cuz i dont ever want to deal with this ish again thanks for all the support guys

i have a friend with a 70 GTO who swerved to avoid a woman who was about to hit him, he ended up avoiding her, crashing into a barrier and taking all the responsibility. the totally forked reality is, here in America you shouldn't swerve to avoid an accident because you might create one that you are liable for. next time run over the tire/wheel, car/bike, baby/stroller and sue the owner of said object for damages. it sounds harsh but it comes down to who do you want to die? you or them?

What kind of mis information is that? Thanks to posts like this we get threads started with topics like " I heard that the Evo has unbalanced braking at high speeds." This car has saved more lives than its taken. This car has also been destroyed and demolished by un-equivilent drivers pushing the car beyond THEIR personal limits.

defarmer, i agree.

we were in the flood of rain in AL, trying to drift. Couldn't loose traction for the life of us.

meanwhile the 350z's and the nsx just step on the gas a little and it goes sideways.

i think some drivers need to take some driving lessons on how to handle high speed vehicles.

As we all know, Car is only good as the driver.

How would you expect to find the owner of some object that you come upon just laying in the road? Not like they are going to take finger prints or DNA... I've seen stuff fly out of vehicles and hit cars. They have to pull over due to the damage and half the time the other vehicle keeps on going due to either not realizing it or just because they don't want their insurance to go up. Your stuck there due to the damage to your car and they are long gone.

I will avoid the accident myself it it is reasonable to try to do so. Today I had some guy in a truck in front of me all of a sudden swerve on a two lane highway. He is full on in our lane heading straight at me in a pickup truck. Maybe I shouldn't have swerved. After all it would have been his fault when I was laying in a casket or the hospital, right?
