Is my dealership clueless?

Every time i go to the dealership for my oil change i ask them when i should change the tranny, t-case, and diff fluids. They all tell me at 30k. I have noticed that you guys change them almost every 5k. I almost have 21k mile and these fluids have not been touched yet. Should i go ahead and change them or just wait till the 30k mark? Thanks

doesnt the owners manual say to change them at 30k? I only have 6k miles on my car so I wouldnt know but I think many have done it close to 30k without having any problems.

if they say 30k miles, then it's 30k miles... some of us change the oils for quieter sound and smoother shifts..

Mistubishi recommends changing the transmission fluid every 15000 miles for severe use or every 30000 miles for regular use.

the fluids are cheap, its cheap insurance. synchromesh in the tranny, diaqueen in the tc/rear diff. The first change, you will see a ton of metal particles from the metal parts wearing in. Take 2 hours during the weekend and change it yourself
