He said all the clutch parts except the disc are covered under warrenty. The disc is not as it is a wear item, like your rotors.

Well, I purchad the vechile at 22,000 miles In May, it was a used 2003. Before you start bashing me to learn howto drive..it was actually my friend who caused it
He details my car all the time puts in 4-5 hours of work everytime he does it, well i guess he didnt take care of it this time and when i got it back i noticed the clutch was slipping, i dont even think he noticed it. I havent talked to him about it yet but i did talk to the service manager here and he said he would look at overnight parts and what not then before i left he mentioned something about how it might not be covered under warranty, i was like well i did call before maybe 2-3 days after i purchased it saying the clutch might have been slipping, (it wasn't i was just thinking things), so i sort of tried blaming it on them selling it to me with an already almost worn clutch...
I'll find out tommorow what is going to happen but if they do not replace it what should i say to them...
oh btw, i am also getting my 5th gear grind fixed TSB for a bad synchro which will be covered under warranty so will that make any sort of difference in me getting my clutch replaced?

why bump anymore? u've got a good amount of responses here and basically all you asked was if you should try to get a new clutch under warranty...that shouldnt even really be a question you should ALWAYS "try" but that doesnt mean they'll ALWAYS give..if they're not then get an aftermarket one and get someone to put it in for you to save even more money. again the warranty states clutch disk is covered for only 12000 miles and you STILL havent told us your actual mileage however since you bought it at 22000 most likely they will not cover it unless your dealer is the sh*t and in that case we should all go there

LOL, I get mine back today for the same problem...5th gear, and they replaced my spoiler. Ummm you might wanna look at having them put the clutch on while they are under there fixing the tranny. They will probably only charge you for about 3 hours of work then since they are already under there. That's what my friend jason (J8 on evom) did. Just a thought.

Seriously though, I am still in the break in period for my car and havent given it any abuse. I dont plan to drag race it either, as I paid over 1K to get a new ACT clutch into my last car after attempting a couple of launches (didnt let the clutch out quick enough and burnt it up). You reckon I'll get 40000 miles or more out my clutch driving without drag racing, I guess we will see in a few years time. I really hope you are correct.
PS if you increase the HP on your car with mods, doesnt this really reduce the lifetime of a stock clutch, even without launches?
If it's a stock clutch, yes... it's not made to handle that kind of horsepower.

oh btw i dropped my car off yesterday at 9am and i havent gotten a call from them yet about anything, is this good? maybe he just went and ordered the parts?
If they are fixing the clutch.. its gonna suck if they put the stocker back in. You will have the same problem later on and it wont be covered. If they are going to tear it down for you under warranty
(cant believe i said that) then it would be best to have them install the ACT at that time. The whole clutch.. not just the disc!
