I got in an accident recently with my 8, nothing too serious just the fender and the front bumper. Since i was never too big of a fan of evolution VIII aftermarket bumpers, i decided to go with a 7 front instead. I just had my body shop order a full 7 front with lip and mesh for 890 shipped. The only thing that bugs me right now is the whol crash bar issue. I've heard horror stories of insurance companies not coughing up cash due to the removal of the front crash bar.... So i'm wondering if anyone knows of any custom crash bars i can get to fit on my new bumper.... plz reply.

Currently, there is nothing available, but I am beginning to look into the possibility of manufacturing one for US spec. Evo 8's to allow the fitment of Evo 7 and 9 front and rear bumpers as well as many aftermarket bumpers that require the removal of the bumper support.

I have no other info at this time, other than that I am looking into it!

 

thanks man that would be great, i'm sure that would generate alot of interest because all the kick@$$ kits out there require the damn front crash bar removal. I myself know at least 5 evo owners who don't have the front crash bar.... 3 of them due to gialla.... but its a damn nice kit though. If you ever get one manufactured, sign me up first....
