I say if you own something naturally aspirated or an economy car you'll be pvery leased with the EVO. What I'm thinking is that fellow Eclipse GSX/Taon TSi/Subaru WRX owners wont be super impressed by it especially if you have mods already and a stiff suspension like me. They'll be wondering what the heck did they just do. I'm actually thinking the EVO may have a less harsh suspension that my car lol. Mine's pretty tight.
There just differnt kinds of cars. THe Car has all the money into the performance, besides the ACD whihc i'm pissed at, and the S4 and m3's have are more like 70/30 luxery and has a lot higher price tag new..
My dad and brother took my Mitsu 3000GT VR4 Spyder for a 1000-mile road trip and were very comfortable in it. And that car had a pretty stiff stock suspension on it. I drove it everyday to work, school, and whatnot. The hardtop roof made for excessive wind/road noise, but it was bearable. Now I drive the BMW, and although it has way more luxury in it, I sacrificed all that performance. Thinking back on it, I probably should have kept the VR4. The ride was harsh and the interior was noisy. But I loved that car. The driving experience was totally satisfying.
Now you have to think about what you want. Both cars have 4 doors. The S4 has luxury. Can you live without the luxury of a navigation system, heated leather seats, or a kickin' stereo? If not, then by all means get the S4. Keep in mind that the S4 has a very small interior compared to the Evo. The S4 has like no backseat space at all.
