I love jealous people....
I don't get that much attention nor praise really anymore.
I got revved at by a 99 Eclipse the other day..that was it.
I usually look like I'm in a bad mood so maybe people tend not to comment towards me

i know exactly what you mean i am getting real sick of all the little **** heads comming up to me and trying to race me. i am so sick of it that i am thinking of trading in my car to get away from the negative attention that my car brings me with the locals and to po 9
i dont any attention....people just look at my car like a ricer that has exhasut...untill i hit the gas.
*offtopic* i actully punked out a stock evo w/ 3 teens in it.....they hit the gas in 5th i droped it in 3rd and there facial expressions were priceless.....they didt want anything after that. i know they probly would have beat me....but they didt even try.

imagine living in south georgia where any type of vehicle that isnt a truck gets "tried(so to say)" im not going to say my car is bad *** or something because it isn't, but people try to race me and talk **** all the time...the OUTSIDE of my car is stock+rims, why do people bother?

Well after going inside to grab ice cream and walk outside I immediately chirping tires...im thinking great a ricer wants to run me in his civic, but no its a 1990 explorer packed with 6 kids . They start yelling at me "evos are slow this things got a hemi!" and "you hear that blow off valve man that was soooo sickkk man that evo blew off like PSSSSSSS! pSSSSSS!" They were being really sarcastic trying to mock my evo i guess. Now keep in mind that they are making fun of my evo from a 1990 green explorer which is packed full of people and covered in rust and sounds like it barely runs. Why do people feel the need to do that? They are just jealous deep down and it makes me feel good to know that they actually can try to put the car down to make themselves feel better about being in that ****ty explorer.
well i just wanted to know how you guys feel about this when people do this to you? I just tend to ignore them and not even give them the time of day, how do you usually react?

The average American teenager is ridiculously gullible. They truly believe you're concieted. Use some self-deprecating humor. It will be funny to watch their brains transition from the belief that you are concieted to the belief that you have no self-esteem. Days later they will finally understand that you had manipulated them into speechlessness.

yeap, here in the broward area, there are alota ricers always trying to test me, when i see its just a beat up, honda or acura. i laugh point at them and drive off, the other night while leaving towers a mini cooper S kept trying to run against me, well when the light turned green we were off, well at least i was and next thing i know i see him about 4 or so car lengths behind me. needless to say he wasnt to happy. yea but on the real people especially the here in broward most peticularly the honda/acura guys are annoying as sin. just disregard people like that.

Is there some sort of E36 M3/Evo rivarlry? I've gotten thumbs down from two so far and a few aggressive manuevers too. Mostly, my car is unnoticed (I firmly believe that it's mainly because it's GG). I didn't think the MR was that big of a deal, but I've had several people come up to me and talk about my car for that reason alone (heck, the place where I was dynoed gave me 10% off just because I was their first MR). I rarely acknowledge other commuters as I'm too busy listening to good music while driving a fun car...
