I just noticed that my graph I posted said filter value of 11. Is that the smoothing?

This is my graph from the Gruppe-S dyno day. My peak values were 251whp/241wtq. As you can see, the trace graph for the tq curve is scaled up slightly so that the peak value matches the peak hp value.

What a LONG weekend. Since I last typed we have put about 40 cars on the new dyno! We dyno'd about 30 cars on Saturday and more came yesterday. Crazy.

This dyno is unbelievable. When we use to waste out time tuning on our Dynojet to find a misfire or horsepower at the end of the day we'd head for the track and find we accomplished nothing.

On this dyno we put 4-5 cars on that had a problem, were able to find the problem, fix it on the dyno and then saw new record times being run from those cars on Sunday at the race!! Incredible.

Our black car we loaded up on Friday (on the dyno) and made some pulls. Found what we thought was the problem and made some changes in the EMS. Our misfire we have been fighting went away. Unloaded the car as customers were waiting for the dyno and then on Saturday loaded it back up for 2 quick pulls. I changed the timing on Saturday and the power went up a little bit. I believe we ended up at 538 or so. This is with our new GT35R kit that uses the turbine housing with the integrated 40mm Tial gate.

Anyway, with 538 whp on Sunday my brother was able to run some very traction limited passes, 10.4 was the best pass with a best MPH of 139 mph.

Steve put his BR350 Edition EVO on the dyno. We didn't test it just as he would have bought it, as he wants to show the potential of the car with just a few changes. He added a manual boost controller to the car, put in an offroad pipe and put in some race gas. The car made 301 whp and 346 ft lbs!! The car is a beast, he will be running it like that this week.

Al loaded his car on the dyno and was after a trophy! haha With the boost turned up like it was for race day he was able to put 580 whp down on our dyno. Al ran best of 10.2 on Sunday with a best MPH of I think 136 mph.

Another customer of ours with a GT35R equipped car made 410 whp with race gas but not with a tune set on kill, he isn't looking to destroy an engine, as the day went he got faster each pass and ended up running 11.5 at 125 mph.

Here is some interesting information. We had the last car loaded on the dyno. Al was doing a re-flash for it and the crowd had thinned down in the dyno room to maybe 30 people. We were discussing what a good dyno number would be. The car was a BR Stage 4 with a WR on it and race gas. Boost was set at 25 psi. I was getting fired up over all the talk of dyno numbers and asked the owner of the car, "Do you want to be the winner of the dyno competition?" He laughed, we all did, and answered "Yes." I said, "O.K. this next pull your car is going to make 1,000 hp on this dyno." Al made his changes, I changed the parameters in the dyno and he pulled the car. The dyno read something like 860 whp and 960 ft lbs of torque. I tell him, "There you go, you just won!" I then explained, "Where does the manipulation of the dyno stop? I think I will just leave it reading low like it is so atleast it is honest." I think everyone agreed after seeing that that leaving it alone would be best idea. The car did make about 330 whp I think, he ran a 12.0 at 114 mph if I remember right, he may have gotten an 11.9. Point of this one is how easy it is to make the numbers whatever you want and the curves look perfect, nobody would ever know.

Anyone making 400 whp on a MD 500 AWD dyno on a stock turbo is doing it on a dyno that has been manipulated.

Mustang dynos and Dyno dynamics are very good dynos. They seem to translate into real world performance.

The tune is just excellent on this dyno.

Took the black car back out last night. Made another dozen runs on it. Car ran 10.3 at 141 mph, multiple 141 mph passes.

We never planned on going, Tuesday night when the car was running multiple 141 mph trap speeds my brother decided he would like to go. Well, we can't. Our car has no rollcage in it and I know we will get thrown out if we go to Englishtown.

The car is scheduled for a rollcage next week.

Customer car came in yesterday. Had a base AEM EMS tune in it. BR Stge 4 with 93 octane and alky. Stock engine, stock head.

Made a pull just like it was 260.1 whp and 204.9 ft lbs of torque.

Started tuning it, it is amazing how much time you can spend working a combination.

3 hours later the car is just great. Peak boost hits 25 psi holds 23-24 psi to redline. The car made 340.3 whp and 306.6 ft lbs of torque on the last pull. VERY nice. Knock count well below 1.7 volts. The HP is perfectly flat from 6,000 rpm to 7,000 at the 340.3.

This car should easily run in the sub 11.50 range at 120+ trap speeds.

Nice numbers for a smaller turbo, pump gas and alky, on our dyno.

wow those are nice numbers! is this on the stock turbo? if so, do you think the 20g could top this? seems like its making more power than the 20g, so is there more left in the 20g?

Sounds awesome Dave. I can't wait until you start working my car. Hopefully I get some decent numbers.

I apologize, I thought I wrote up there that the car was Stage 4 and the BR440 turbo kit. This is a non ball bearing small turbo, very much like our 20G is now.
