Sorry for the confusion I am just stating the obvious that after lots and lots of launches with a good amount of power the trans or tc has a good chance of needing a rebuild.

Good to know.

I love my 03. Wouldn't trade it for any other year. 48k and no problems.

My only complaint is not having a LSD. But you could always buy one.

the ONLY reason i considered trading mine in the get the 05 is for the ACD. and if my car was close to stock, i would....but i don't feel like removing all these parts.

AFAIK, '03 is the easiest to mod. No plans to trade mine in any time soon.

I love the hell out of my '03 and wouldn't trade it for the '05. higher payments...and for the price I got mine, I can modify my 03 to compete if not beat an 05 in every aspect. Plus there is no launch rev limiter on the 03. if you didn't own an evo.....great get an 05 and you would be exstatic.

If you have an 03....modify and be better than an 05 and still have some money in your pocket...cause the payments are less.

just my .02 cents

I also bought an '03 sight-unseen at invoice. I have a bit of clutch chatter, but nothing that can't be dealt with by revving the car a bit more. Other than that, no problems whatsoever, and that includes one track weekend. The front fascia of my car is a bit pitted up, but there's not much you can do about that with the rocks that seem to bounce off it every Interstate commute. I've replaced SUVs on my most hated list with dump trucks hauling gravel and sand.

i've never seen worse paint on anything else, let alone a car. it would probably have been better if they would have used spray can. but i still love the car, might trade it in for a xi next year, love the electric blue.

I have never had a problem with mine. I got it for a great deal so I don't see any point in even thinking about an '05.

Haven't had any problems with mine. 17,500 miles with factory tires, factory clutch and still have tread left on the tires. Great car and I bought it brand new in '03 for $26,900.00 out the door.
