Bought a GG MR and have 2800 miles on it now. Very impressed with the car so far, I was a tad worried about the ride quality having heard how stiff they were. The MR has an incredible ride, we own a '96 Prelude with a 2" drop (1.9 and 1.6 I believe) on 17s and it has a much harsher ride (not a surprise). Either the Bilsteins really do a great job or some of the other members havent been in a car with an even mildly stiff ride (my '88 Mustang is stiffer as well!). Very little body roll and exceptionally responsive.
Interior isnt to cheesey, the lighting is pretty lame in the center console but the rest doesnt give an overly cheap feeling. Adjusting the seats is a pain in the *** but thats not something you mess with often.
This is our first turboed vehicle and its a bit different to drive. In the Prelude and Mustang we just mash the gas, shift, and hang on. Seems the evo likes to have the power rolled on between shifts. If I shift aggresively and go straight back to WOT the turbo seems to take about a half second to spool back up, then comes back on strong. I see why so many post about the MBC, when it first comes up to boost it accelerates hard but as soon as I get around 5k the boost drops about a quarter bar and it really flattens out. The fact we only get 91 octane fuel out here along with 100+ degree temperatures probably has a big impact as well.
Gas mileage doesnt seem bad, I average just over 20mpg so far and I'm fairly aggressive with the loud pedal. Interior isnt making any noise yet and road noise is amazingly low as well.
TIME FOR MORE POWER!
