i need to get 3 autometer gauges, oil pressure, boost and egt. but i can't see which ones would best match the interior of the car.
which series would you suggest? any pictures?

I am pretty sure you can change the color on the nexus gauges so that might be a good idea.

 

but those are expensive. looking for something cheap for now

i did search and i know defi matches the best. but their prices are a little out of reach for me. i am looking for cheap $50 autometer gauges.

 

autometer comes with a red bulb condom. just put that on, and the guage lights up red. Matches the red of the dash pretty well.

 

i have the autometer carbon fiber boost gauge with the red bulb and it matches very well.

Yup... Silver back with red jimmy hat on the bulb looks good.

 

I've got ultra-lites as well. They look good and work fine. The only issue I have with them is the red condom gradually looses its red coloring. They make red LED replacement lights but, I can't find them anywere.

Defi BF's are really nice looking but expensive and I don't like the mounting options for gauges that size. Plus I got my Autometer gauges for free so that kind of a hard price to beat. The nexxus gauges have "issues" from what I've read.

 

For autometer, the Ultra-Lites match pretty well with the red "condom" on. I just sold the boost gauge, but I have an EGT for sale. It includes the probe and wiring if you're interested. PM me

I don't recall him asking if they suck. He asked what AUTOMETER gauges would best match the interior.

The upper levels of Autometer gauges are just as accurate as Defi or any other automotive gauge. I know because I have checked them against a Druck calibrator along with VDO (which do suck in my opinion), Stack, Stewart Warner, and yes Defi. They all read pretty accurately.
